save water
and electricity!
Visit Sweetwater Authority's booth at
SDG&E’s
lighting exchange event on Saturday, May 17. The event will be
held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chula Vista Center (next to the
CVS store). Sweetwater
customers will receive one free hose nozzle per household and
information about how to save water. You can bring up to five
incandescent light bulbs (75 watts or more) and two halogen
torchiere floor lamps (bring entire lamp) to exchange for the same
number of ENERGY STAR® qualified compact fluorescent lights. Bring a
valid CA driver’s license or ID card and your current SDG&E bill.
what's
the 20 gallon challenge?
Periods
of drought are part of our normal weather pattern.
However, recent extended
dry
conditions are greatly impacting local and imported water
sources.
The San Diego County Water Authority is asking residents to conserve 20 gallons of water per day. What that
means to you is about a ten percent reduction in water use.

fluoride
information
Sweetwater Authority does not add fluoride at its water treatment
plants. However, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern
California (MWD), the largest wholesaler of San Diego's imported
water, began fluoridating their drinking water supplies by December
2007.
