If you live or go to school in our service area, you could win from $100 to $500; and get your photo published!

In an effort to bring awareness to our most precious resource – water, the Authority will seek submissions of water-themed photographs. Ever since our early founders developed this region, finding, securing and protecting water has been an ongoing challenge, but it is vital to our quality of life.

Sweetwater Authority is pleased to announce that it will hold its second annual High School Photo Contest. Thirteen photos will be selected for publication in the Authority’s June 2010 Water Quality Report & Calendar. Winning photos will receive monetary prizes of $100, and $200 for the best photo. Each entry can submit up to three photos, and could win for multiple photos.

This contest will be eligible to high school students who live and/or attends school in the Sweetwater Authority’s service area.

The Authority provides safe, reliable drinking water to more than 186,000 people in National City, western Chula Vista, and Bonita.

Deadline is Monday, March 15, 2010.
