The San Diego Chapter of the California Special Districts Association will award a minimum of five $1,000 scholarships to graduating San Diego County high school seniors graduating in 2007. Noteworthy applicants will also be considered for a $1,000 scholarship awarded by Sweetwater Authority.

CSDA's Scholarship Program is designed to encourage interest in our most local form of government - Special Districts, and to help outstanding high school students continue their studies through higher education. Each student may submit an application through a participating agency which provides Special District services to his/her home or school.  Applications are due on February 16, 2007.

Awards are based primarily on the student's ability to express the purpose of Special Districts in a two-page essay.
