	(Updated September 1, 2009) 1. Subtract PRIOR READ from CURRENT READ to determine usage (in hundred cubic feet) this billing period.
	SAMPLE 452 - 402 = 50 (100 cubic feet = 1 unit of usage)
	2. Calculate in increments of 10 units according to chart 1st 10 @ 2.00 = $20.00 2nd 10 @ 3.50 = $35.00 3rd 10 @ 3.80 = $38.00 4th 10 @ 4.10 = $41.00 5th 10 @ 4.20 = $42.00 total = $176.00
	3. Add Readiness-To-Serve charge (5/8" meter = $39.50 bimonthly)

	4. Add San Diego County Water Authority (CWA) Surcharges
	$3.80 +5.00 =$8.80	(IAC) (CWA's service & storage fees)
	5. Based on this sample, the total bill for two months = $176.00 39.50 + 8.80 = $224.30
	calculating daily water use 100 cubic feet = 748 gallons
	1. To determine how many gallons per day your household used on an average day during the billing period, multiply the usage (in hundred cubic feet) by 748. 50 X 748 = 37,400 gallons 2. Divide by the number of days 37,400 ÷ 60 = 623 gallons per day
