Calculating daily water use
Daily water use is determined by how many gallons per day your household used on an average day during the billing period. It is calculated by multiplying the usage (in hundred cubic feet) by 748 and then dividing by the number of days. These values are calculated for you on your bill.
In this example:
50 × 748 = 37,400 gallons
37,400 ÷ 56 = 668 average gallons per day (rounded to the nearest gallon)
