The new Water Efficiency Partner Program recently launched by Sweetwater Authority (Authority) aims at helping businesses save money by assisting them reduce their water use.

Through the program, businesses gain access to a free water use audit and personalized recommendations. Businesses are also offered exclusive incentives to help offset the costs of installing new water efficient fixtures.

“The Authority’s Governing Board is committed to supporting economic development in our service area and saving water during this unprecedented drought,” said Board Chair Alejandra Sotelo-Solis. “By offering this unique partnership program, we’re able to provide businesses the ability to save on costs while becoming more water efficient.”

To enroll in the program, businesses first schedule a water use audit and receive personalized recommendations on how to reduce water use. Many of those recommended changes, including upgrading fixtures to more water efficient models, will come at a low cost to the businesses thanks to existing rebate programs. After implementing the recommendations, Authority staff will verify changes and recognize the business as a Water Efficiency Partner.

Partners will receive special acknowledgement by the Governing Board, will be featured on the Authority’s website and will receive a window decal to display at their business site.
