[ARCHIVED] Slight discoloration of water not a public health concern

Glass of water image

Sweetwater Authority (Authority) is aware that the area around Division Street and the I-805 in National City is experiencing slight discoloration in the water we are currently providing. The slight discoloration is due to naturally occurring minerals in our water supplies. We want to assure you that this is not a public health issue, and the water is safe to drink.

For more information on discolored water, visit https://www.sweetwater.org/FAQ.aspx?TID=19

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Please contact our Water Quality Department at (619) 420-1413 if you have any additional questions or need further information.
