The Board of Directors of the South Bay Irrigation District (SBID) will fill a vacancy in Division 3 by appointment to replace Jose Preciado who resigned as of December 13, 2022. Any interested person who would like to apply must be a registered voter, resident of Division 3, and have the experience and the time to commit to the Board. Refer to map below of Division 3 for the general boundary. Applicants may submit a letter of interest by mail or hand delivery to 505 Garrett Avenue Chula Vista, CA 91910, Attn: Board Secretary or by e-mail to boardsecretary@sweetwater.org. All applications must be received by the close of business on January 4, 2023. Interviews will be conducted for all qualified applicants at the Regular Board Meeting on January 11, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. The appointee will serve until noon on December 6, 2024, when the candidate elected pursuant to the next general District election for Division 3, to be held in November 2024, will take office.
