Local high school students will be honored for their winning photos at the Sweetwater Authority (Authority) Governing Board meeting on May 9. More than 40 students from the Authority’s service area entered the annual water photo contest, which included a short essay about why water is an essential resource. The following students took the top honors:

The public is invited to an Artists’ Reception on May 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to see all the winning photos. The event is being held at the Authority’s Administrative Office located 505 Garrett Avenue in Chula Vista. The winning photos are also posted at the Authority’s website at www.sweetwater.org/photocontest18. The photos will be on display at the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center this summer.
